Co-owned mechanical contracting
business for eight years, then
sold my interest and returned
to school. Graduated from WCU
with a BS in Political Science,
then took a job at The Franklin
Press as a staff writer. Promoted
to news editor two years ago.
I met my wife Amanda at WCU, where
she received a BFA in art. She
now works at WCU on staff in student
services. In her spare time, she
does typography, bookbinding and
painting, and has done several
murals for private homes in the
